Recreation Manager of Design and Development
Milwaukee Recreation
The Recreation Manager (Coordinator II) provides strategic leadership and project management for Milwaukee Recreation improvement initiatives and facility revitalization projects. This position serves as the primary technical lead, overseeing the full project lifecycle—from community engagement, planning initiatives and site feasibility studies to design development, construction administration, and project closeout.
The Recreation Manager ensures all projects align with district standards, environmental compliance, and budgetary goals by directing the performance of consultants, architects, and contractors. This role acts as a critical liaison, ensuring that all development initiatives are
delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and sustainability.

Harbor District Milwaukee
Environmental Director
The Environmental Director is the Harbor District’s lead visionary, problem-solver, and partner in executing environmental initiatives and public space projects. This individual transforms big ideas and grant commitments into tangible projects. They handle complex public funding, are comfortable working in urban and industrial environments, and know how to guide projects through systems without losing momentum.

Landscape Designer / Architect 
Angus-Young 

Angus-Young is a 4X Madison Area Top Workplaces award winner (2023-2026). We are a multi-disciplinary, general practice, Architecture/Engineering/Interior Design firm, who strives to deliver excellence, empower our employees, and build lasting relationships.

We are currently looking to add a Landscape Designer to our growing team. The role is focused on site design from master planning through construction documentation, planting design and storm water management.

This includes: assisting project teams in detailed site inventory and analysis, site planning, conceptual development, design, and preparation of construction documents and specifications. Also, collaborating with various internal departments within a multi-disciplinary firm.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of landscape design experience. We are also looking for someone who has experience designing with Civil3D (preferred) or AutoCAD as well as a bachelor’s degree in an accredited landscape architecture program or a civil engineering focused degree.

Our group includes experts in landscape architecture and urban design, master planning and environmental design.  As Practice Area Leader you would provide strategy, business development, and technical direction to the group, with a focus on the importance of landscape architecture, urban design and sustainability.  Our team members have advanced degrees, licensures, registrations, and related credentials.  From our corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, we also collaborate with team members across our 9 offices in the Midwest and Florida providing landscape architecture design expertise regionally and nationally.

We are considering candidates who possess the following basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in landscape architecture. 

  • Minimum of 8 years of applicable design experience.

  • Previous project management experience required.

  • Professional licensure required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit, and / or GIS software desired.

  • Experience with business development activities such as marketing, proposals and client development. 

  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members are necessary.

  • Experience in leading and mentoring staff for career development and advancement.

  • Excellence in written communication, quantitative analysis, graphic design, urban design, presenting, and critical thinking skills.
