*Trustee

3 year term

Pam Linn, ASLA
I am currently the Senior Landscape Architect with Waukesha County Parks and Land Use; I started with the County in 2000.  Previously, I worked as a Landscape Architect for the City of Green Bay from 1994-2000. I am licensed in the State of Wisconsin and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I specialize in design and development of large capital projects, open space planning, long range planning, and acquisition. My passion for creating and preserving open spaces has resulted in numerous awards.

I am very involved in ASLA both locally and nationally. As a Landscape Architect I believe that it is very important to be an advocate for the profession and promote visibility.  My advocacy work includes being very active in the State Licensure upgrade, participating in government affairs committee, licensure committee, and creating an advocacy session for the WI ASLA annual meeting. I also feel it is important to create an understanding and interest of the profession in the next generation. In the past few years I have been actively involved in working with school age groups including Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, career fairs, and various class room activities.

Volunteer ASLA activities include:

  • ASLA Nominating Committee, 2009-2010
  • ASLA Licensure Committee, 2009-2010
  • ASLA Chapter President’s Council, Chair, 2009-2010
  • ASLA Public Affairs Advisory Committee, 2008-2009
  • ASLA Licensure Summit, Madison, WI, Host, 2008
  • Wisconsin Chapter ASLA President, 2008-2009
  • ASLA Finance Committee, 2006-2009
  • ASLA Government Affairs Committee, 2006-2008
  • ASLA CIP Task force, Chair, 2006-2008
  • Wisconsin Chapter ASLA President, 2004-2005

The profession of Landscape Architecture has always valued green/sustainable principals and we need to ensure we remain the leaders in this area. This is a critical time for Landscape Architects; it is important that we demonstrate and promote that Landscape Architects are at the forefront with solutions to the issues facing our country- global climate change, sustainable communities protecting our environment, and the desire to make our communities beautiful and healthy places to live. As Trustee for the Wisconsin Chapter I will bring my enthusiasm to promote the profession and be an advocate for the landscape architects in Wisconsin.

*Treasurer
2 year term

Kevin Byrne, ASLA, LEED AP
Born and raised in the Milwaukee suburbs, my career choice started at the early age of 12, mowing numerous lawns along our block.  At 16, I accepted a construction position at Treetops Landscape Design, which furthered my “green” education and led me down our professional path.  As a 2001 graduate from the University of Wisconsin Madison Landscape Architecture program, I continued working in the Residential Design/Build arena with the Bruce Company, and later with Lied’s Nursery Company and MJS Landscaping.  As the market began its downturn in 2007, I transitioned to Kapur & Associates, a multi-disciplined design consulting firm, focusing more on sustainable commercial design rather than residential.  I received my Wisconsin Registration in 2007, and my LEED AP and Illinois registration in 2009.  Now married for 7 years, my wife and I recently purchased a “remodeler” Bungalow in Shorewood and look to have children in the coming years.  I look at the position of WIASLA treasurer as an opportunity to bring forward my ideas to help our profession grow, as well as to give time back to others, just as so many people allotted time to help me achieve my current knowledge and experience.

* Member-at-Large
2 year term

Dan Feick, ASLA
Dan Feick is a landscape architect and President of FRS Design Group in Madison.  Dan has been in Wisconsin for 18 years and has provided golf course architecture and irrigation consulting during that time.  Recently, his efforts have been concentrated on irrigation design and consulting in the Midwest.

As he works with many of you on projects, he will be able to also visit with you regarding what the WIASLA can provide or do differently to help during these tight times.  Now that we have a practice act in place, Dan would like to assist and follow through in the next steps of the process.
